Awesome!!!

Just had a little session in my music room with my looper station and the double-neck! It's so fun having both a fretless and a fretted available with just a flick of a switch!!! :D Awesome!

I love the tone of this instrument, Tom!!!!

all right - please say what are the specs. Any news on the bass with the hum/peeeeeep ? Are you getting the Bassline pups? What about the wood covers?

I'm using the tips you and Mr. Walker gave me. So I did get answers from Nordstrand and Graphtec. Probably there is a conflict between the magnetic pups and something in the piezo system, like the buffer or the power supply. In meanwhile my tech had already done everything Mr. Walker suggested, trying to eliminate things without a big success. He changed pups and told me that he put in pups that were worse then the Nordstrands. And the piezo bridge is from a great quality too. These components look alright. For now I don't know if he already checked the preamp buffer or the pots or the power supply. I hope we can find a solution fast.

The specs for the shorty as said before on page 3 and indeed with the Bassline pups and Tom is going to cover them under a soapbar of Bubinga. A part of the fretboard will be great enough to use for that purpose. Not cheap but I think it will look great.
And there are first some other basses to finish. It seems he's doing great.
As soon as there's more information, I'll post it.

I have Nordstrand magnetics and a Hipshot/Graphtec piezo bridge, with a Bartolini buffer going into an Aguilar preamp. They are the Nordstrand DC (dual coil) pickups.

I don't have active preamps in the other piezo equipped basses, but I have Bartolini, Q-tuner, Nordstrand and Lace Alumitone pickups matched up to the Bartolini buffer, without having any of these problems in any of them.

I am puzzled!

I just came home from a dinner with work, and it's 11PM and I need to sleep. But weekend will give photos!!! Promise!
