The wife got me some bloodwood knobs for Christmas! I had talked about getting some when I first got the bass, but never got around to it. It came with some pretty standard black knobs. I think the new knobs really sets it off. I told the wife that it even sounds better now, but she said that she can't tell the difference.;)

Well, I'm trying to spec out a fretless for the new year (probably closer to the end of the year since I just got a custom P-bass), and a Clement is starting to look REALLY tempting. There are so many body figures to choose from. I feel like I could just spec out a different bass for every model Tom offers!

I have a big list of luthiers and I'm narrowing it down, but a Clement or a Stambaugh would both be excellent choices. I'm considering an Atkinson (like my P-bass), but I really like Tom's work. I don't think there's a single bass he's made I don't drool over.

I can only dream of entering this club! We'll see what the new year brings!

Howdy y'all, first post here. Just ordered #270 on the 31st. I only just discovered Clement Basses a few weeks ago and was surprised to see that just about everything I have read in my extensive research about them really fits the bill on what I need. Plus, I just flew some massive overtime on Christmas and have a chunk of change that needs spending.

So, I'm getting a "Kim" with burl redwood top, limba body, maple neck and tone block and lined bloodwood board (34-5-19). I am using an EMG BQS that I have had laying around for the past nine years. Haven't bought the pups yet.

At first I thought I would just go for some 40DCs just like I have in another bass. Now, I'm thinking real hard about the split-coil 40TWs. Anyone have any experience with those and how to mate them to a BQS system? Tom would either have to dump the blend knob or figure out a way to integrate two tap switches.
