Club Clement (Part 6: Post your basses here)

Just checking in!!! :-)

Life's been too busy for me, so I haven't had much time to play nor mind the club (busy minding my own business at the moment!!!) :D

I see there's a lot of beautiful new Clements being built. There's a beautiful Clement Jon 5-string fretless for sale in Norway, and if I was in the market for a 5-string fretless, I'd definitely get it. It's got a sexy walnut top and lined fingerboard, I think... If anyone is interested, let me know, and I'll check into it for you. It's currently advertised at around US$1300 (shipping out of Norway costs some, but it's doable... even the price is decent, even though it's being sold in high-price Norway! :D )

I see that there's a lot of new members since the last update, and I don't have the time right now to go through and update the membership list. Be patient (Dave, you want the job as membership updater for a bit?! :D) I just wanted to check in and say that I'm alive, all is well, and I'll be back soon (probably be a bit more settled in after the summer vacation).

Oh, bass-wise... let me tell you, my new custom Clement 6-string is just ridiculously cool. It's an awesome piece of bass machine, and there's no way I'll ever part with it. It's got that "broken in" feel to it that just makes it sit right no matter what I try to play on it. It's just out of this world. Anyone notice I'm happy with my Clement?! :D

'Fraid not Mr Walker - things have been hectic on my little rock too - studying for a Masters Degree in Business Admin which is eating my time like crazy - hence my lack of postings!!

You are totally right about the new basses - there are some fantastic creations coming out of the Clement stable. Would love another, and came close to pulling the trigger on one, but just can't do it at the moment!

But will try to be a bit more active on here - time permitting.

Lots going on here, as well, getting a new boss July 1st and covering for him in the meantime, and having a colleague on sick leave until end of July and covering for her, as well... so yeah... not much time to fool around in here :)

Just in case anyone needed some motivation to pull the trigger on a great opportunity. #272 is now my main player. Hard to believe but, the pic really doesn't do it justice.

For those that have not met the man, working with Tom is an enjoyable and great experience. He will do right by you and fix you up a great instrument :bassist:
