Club Clement (Part 7: Post your basses here)

so a little more on my new found love . The neck is magical on this , the shape is otherworldly , really amazing piece .
I'm a hack as you all know . I don't pretend to be otherwise but I love playing and it's why I still hack away after all these years . My first bass was a Vantage Avenger back in 1984 . I used that for about 5 years . My second bass was a Yamaha RBX5F a lined fretless 5 string . Yamaha was the only maker back then that did a lined fretless , especially a 5ver . That wasn't Pedulla prices .I gigged that bass for many many years . These days I have more basses than GC so things are different but I have always assumed I could never play a unlined board .I've always avoided them and have been scared off by them and said to my self no way I could ever do that . Until now .. This Clement ( Excalibur) .... I can play it perfectly . It has side dots as you know per the norm but that's all you need . My hand just fits , it makes perfect sense and my intonation is very well on it . I am pleasantly surprised I must say

One of the things I really love about this bass is the neck contour . It's definitely asymmetrical and I'm assuming it was done on purpose . Though a unique neck shape is a good sign of a hand carved piece . This has it and it really fits the hand perfectly . I've called it Excalibur before and this is why . I dare say one of the finest ever shaped .
Pics don't do it justice but I'll try . It's flatter then it appears here really nice & thin and nicely rounding over the fatter side .
