And here is the headless with its headed 4 string. These are the 2 man basses I gig with right now.

That has been a while but it looks like a Bloodwood nut. That bass was owned originally by Stew McKinsey at Nordstrand. An awesome guy and player. He made me a great sound clip with it.

Sounds right to me.
I bought it from a nice realtor in Tucson. The chap had a lovely, soft touch on the bass. Great player.
It is a gorgeous instrument, Tom. As we say around the office when we have birthday lunches, "thanks for being born."

ok this is maybe a little more normal :) bass playing . I love this bass more that any fretless I've ever picked up .I's such a joy to hold and play . Tom I hope you are doing well and overflowing with orders ! Cheers
