Is that a Ziricote fingerboard?

I know that Tom already confirmed this, but yes, it is. In addition to this Clement fretless, I also own a (fretted) Dingwall Z3 with a zirocote board, and it sounds great on both basses. Somewhat like ebony, but without the pronounced "ping."
 
Are you a Gary Willis fan?

Well, Willis has some good ideas about both instruments and music that works. I play with a floating thumb, and a ramp is very effective for this technique. Also makes you faster.

You are thinking about the Ibanez GWB, right? That bass has been an inspiration, but instead of going Japanese, I knew a guy in Florida who could do it like I wanted :smug:
