This bass is perfect for me!

Beautiful! What is that finish called? Red burst? Love the "no grain fill" and satiny look. There is a BN5 in the gallery on the FBass site w/ this finish and a rosewood or(?) dark board. Stunning and I want it! Could not ID the finish from the "finish" examples. Again congrats. A real beauty.

I got an email from George yesterday saying that my bass is nearly complete! He was asking for some final decisions that I put off, i.e. the finger ramp; which I passed on for now but asked him to take measurements in case I want one in the future.

The catch... My bass is being shipped with a friend's which is 2 weeks behind mine... Aaaahhhhh!

Wow. Don't really care for any of those. None of those do F's justice IMHO. Just sounds like tapping on metal.

Clearly some form of effect pedal going on there. In all these clips it seems like F's are weak in the low end.

I dig that technique that he is using, a fresh twist on the multiple finger thump/pluck triplets that he uses on the second bass, my favorite bass or of the 3.

Yeah, the room recording captures too much of the fret noise for sure; you kind of have to look past that to get the flavor of the tone. You're right.

Yeah. I'm glad the camera pickups up his right hand; I'm thinking of adding that to my (meager) repertoire.

Wow, Yohan, so it's just going to sit for 2 weeks waiting to ship?

I can see why you passed on the ramp. The wide pickup covers on the BNs make it pretty easy to do without one. I don't have one on my BN5 (but do on my BN6).
