Club Fbass (Part 11!)

I stuck with the '98. That bass had been calling me for the last 3 months every time I went on BSD's website. When I really thought about it, it just felt right to stick with it.

Cool. I have a 1976 Fender Jazz, and there is no way I would trade it for a 2013 Fender Jazz, no matter how pretty.

Similarly, David Hughes has a wonderful sounding 1969 Fender Jazz bass, and I seriously doubt he wishes it were new.

When you can own a great sounding, great playing, mature bass in fantastic shape, you tend to hang on to it. I'm more than sure you will love your BNF5.

I just visited the Fbass booth, where I saw Etienne Mbappé shredding apart a fretless 5'er. George was very gracious, he insisted that I call him by his first name after I addressed him as 'Mr. Furlanetto'. They brought a great sampling of basses, lots of different examples of everything they offer. I had my eye on a jazz bass styled 6'er with single coils and a 24 fret maple board.

I got my BN6 last May, but I realized I never posted pictures, so here it is! Myrtle top, birdseye maple fingerboard.

I'm not playing my BNF5 anymore, as I traded it in and picked up an AC6 to go with my BN6. I might post AC6 pics in the future, but I'm real bad about taking pictures (as you might tell from my 8 month delay on this one )
