Cool. I have a 1976 Fender Jazz, and there is no way I would trade it for a 2013 Fender Jazz, no matter how pretty.I stuck with the '98. That bass had been calling me for the last 3 months every time I went on BSD's website. When I really thought about it, it just felt right to stick with it.

Similarly, David Hughes has a wonderful sounding 1969 Fender Jazz bass, and I seriously doubt he wishes it were new.
When you can own a great sounding, great playing, mature bass in fantastic shape, you tend to hang on to it. I'm more than sure you will love your BNF5.
