Club FBass (Part 5)

This one in particular has me curious. It has an ash body and a maple finger board, but the pickups are in the 60s positions... which is what I understand is the case with BN5s, except that BN5s are 34.5 inches in scale length, and of course the VF5s use George's single coil pickups whereas the BN5s use the stacked soapbars for noise canceling.

That's what I thought too - it was a very interesting mix. I'll try and do a quick sample of it this weekend if I can sweet talk my wife into letting me get away from the family for a bit.

Nope, this is the sunburst VF5 that just came in. If you look at the pics, you can see where there is a fine crack in the fretboard. It's really hard to see though...

If this thing had 70's spacing I would be all over it!

This ones at the top of my GAS list. It's inspired by that amazing '10 NAMM bass in the
Alleva-Coppolo thread. I think the combo looks great on a VF5 too!

Sounds like a perfect way to do it. We attended a basketball game, then had a party at our house.

That was the bass that made me want the one I have. The only difference between his
and mine is the he has tiny dots on his, a pickguard, and I have recessed straplocks. I
love that (my) bass.

He doesn't have the pickguard on it in this video though.

Man, the BN5 Auburn burst/rosewood combo gets me every time I see it! Killer! I like the look of the rosewood better than my maple board with that finish.

That's it! I'm going out and buying a lottery ticket!
