I think you should not hesitate and buy that vf5pj then trade it to me instantly for my Nordy vj5...just sayin'.

I don’t know if he’s on here, but Jeffrey Tan is a great bass player I met in our FBass Facebook group. I’ve been obsessing over his VF5-PJ he acquired from Karel Honasan. Its a beautiful bass and sounds fantastic. Very interested because of Jimmy Coppolo’s pups which were installed. Anyone have them in your F? I’m tempted to order the same bass verbatim.
NY model? And speaking of the great Jimmy Coppolo.. Does anyone besides me have a NY Model BN5 ? I found the post talking about them from 2003 but didn’t want to resurrect that zombie thread.
No. He used to run a shop in NYC. He ordered Fbasses with a few specs: metallic paint, reverse head stock shape, and metal knobs. It was before he was a “master builder”.NY model?
Does it mean ... Jimmy made?
I have one. It also has vintage (smaller fretwire) and hipshot UL tuners were on the NY model. The neck shape is slightly different (more comfy imo).

Nice, ibknoq there were like 5 or so of the NYC f-basses...black, silver, gold, Sherwood green and I think an ice blue metallic.
Mine had slightly different specs but I have two of the f-basses from Jimmy's store back then.
If you guys with NYCs would be so kind to share some pics, it would be greatly appreciated.Nice, I know there were like 5 or so of the NYC f-basses...black, silver, gold, Sherwood green and I think an ice blue metallic.

Is the fiery one an NYC as well? Don't think I've seen a headstock like that before on an FbassHere are a few pics of mine. Most recent was having black dot inlays installed.

Cool. What year was George making the GFCs?It is an F-bass but from the "GFC" (George Furlanetto Custom) run which was like a handful or so. I have two of them. One is currently being refinished in two tone burst and the other is the one you see in the pic (autumnburst).
