Can I join? Recently got my first M Basses Mej Standard. Note, I decided to go with a natural finish instead of "olympic white" as listed on the spec sheet; that wood grain was too nice to cover :D

Also, I'm a big fan of Aguilar but their PJ set is not exactly the sound I'm after.... Jon is having Nordstrand make a NPJ4SE set, it's going to take a few weeks. Once Jon receives the new pickup set, I'll make a trip up to his shop in CT and swap out the pickups!

I LOVE THIS BASS, it's everything I want in an instrument! Light weight, well balanced (physically and sonically), excellent access to higher frets, wonderful craftsmanship (attention to detail), easy to play...

What else can I say? Time to start saving for a M Basses 5 string, then a 6, and then a P bass, and then....you get the idea ;)

I hear ya! I'm already saving for my next M Basses, would it be a 5er or a 6er? I'm thinking nothing beats the sexiness of a 6 string Mj, with a quilted maple top in a blue burst finish... Alright, we got a winner! I'm sending some money to Jon ASAP!

I saw that bass on his site. I bet it's killer.

I first played this at Lords of the Low End last year, and I couldn't get enough. Went home to think about it, and a couple weeks later I had to go to his shop and re-confirm... I went home with it. The thing I like are the pickups, which are his very first set of custom-wound M Bass pickups. Extremely versatile and punchy or mellow as I need them to be.

I ordered a 5-stringer JJ from him with the same electronics config. It's a tough wait.
