Club Sadowsky!!!

Cool!! Why not go with "real" rosewood?

Well the rosewood is a tad warmer and i like the morado as it is between MAPLE and ROSEWOOD, therefore since i love maple but all my other basses have maple fret boards i went with the morado, or i think they also call it PAO FERO or something like that, gives you the warm sound but the slight brightness of MAPLE, yet looks like rosewood.:hyper:

HI

My hybrid is the first P body Ive gigged w in 29 years of playing. I really like it. Looks total rock and roll, sounds amazing with the PJ setup, and the J taper neck kills it. Real comfy at 8.5lbs. Most of my NYC's have been lighter. My PJ5 Metro is a bit heavier but I really dont mind it. I wish it was 8.25lbs but this particular PJ5 sounds so good! Im afraid if I sell for a lighter 5er Ill miss its tone. A WL5 might sway me though.

There was alot of discussion about stands in the last thread. I was on a search for something better
than the Onstage stuff I was using. And, I looked at some of the options people mentioned.
I was like "ok, you have $4000. basses...why do you have $20. stands?"

So, yesterday I took delivery of a stand worthy of the basses! The Invalid Link Removed

Simply the best stand to protect your investment(s) IMHO!!

OMG, now this JOEY is AWESOME, thanks for the link and congrats on a sweet stand for sure.

How could you ever part w/ that PJ? 8.5 is somethin' that don't come around in a Metro very often let alone in one that impresses you like you say it does.
You don't get any argument from me re P body basses. LOL

HI

LOL. I know. Ur a P bass guy. Ive never been but Ive had a new appreciation for them since Ive had this bass. I especially like playing w a pick on certain tunes and rolling the pan to full P mode. Sounds killer. I usually just run it in the middle or ever so slightly towards the bridge. I like these two basses so much Id be silly to trade or sell either. I will add a JJ4 sometime soon, though. Im leaning towards another WL or maybe a UV metro.

That's gonna be my biggest adjustment - learning how to apply the J pup & blending the 2 pups. Like I said previously, my 1st session w/ THE bass :D was in full P mode. It's hard to teach an old dog ... well you know the routine. It's all just too much for me to handle at this point.

I have managed to take a pocket full of pretty good pics of the new build & wanted to post a sample. These are 85% sized but you can click the pic for enlargement. Can't seem to capture the true mint of the PG & that's a real shame 'cause it's outstanding! So is that Madagascar 2 tone - MAN!
I know how much I love to look at decent photos of y'all's Sad's so I'll get a mess of 'em up a bit at a time - over time. I got some dandies of the rosewood!
