Club Sadowsky!!!

Bluesy Cat,

That BE Maple board is 10 times better than the board roger put on mine. Makes mine look very plain. That is one of my favorite sadowsky basses I have ever seen. Everything about it is just top notch. Like I said the BE board puts mine to shame. Very nice.

Thank you. I must have just got really lucky.

I think I am going to eventually try soundcloud website. Thanks everyone for the tips.

Dunno man... cool of you to be all humble and everything, but it could also be kind of a too much thing with those big ebony blocks. Gotta' think bigger picture sometimes. He may have felt a less intense figure in the maple might look better overall. I could maybe see that, anyway.

Now work on those closeups so I can see yours better. :)

You may be right Vic. I was just putting emphasis on Bluesycat's board. I am 100% satisfied with my bass. The board on my bass is beautiful but the one on Bluesycat's bass really is 10X better than mine. Its not that mine is bad its that hers is so amazing. It is hands down the most beautiful BE maple board I have ever seen. It is just off the chart. I imagine finding a piece of BE maple figured like that is very rare. I will work with the camera tomorrow night. I checked and it was zoomed in. Told you I know nothing about cameras.

Agreed. :)

That's fine! Everybody starts somewhere and learns from there. The good news is, a few basic tips take you a long way for the kind of snapshots we mostly do around here. :)

Funny enough, many guitar/bass player friends of mine finally turn into a good photographer or purchase a lot of photography gears after start from a goal on taking better pictures of their music gears....:D

Hey there, Sadowskyites/Sadowskians/Sadowskistas:

So I've been using a Metro R5-24 as my main axe over the past year - a fine, fine instrument! But I also sometimes crave more of an old-school sound, and have been looking into vintage-series 5-stringers. In playing a few of these, the neck seems nowhere near as comfortable for me as on the R5-24. Are those modern-series 5-string necks flatter, and/or smaller in some dimension? Do they have a flatter radius? Other than the narrower nut, how does the neck on a 5-string Will Lee compare?

Thanks for your guidance!

I think they are... I mean, I didn't measure mine, but it sure struck me that way playing it, and I've heard others mention the same thing as well. Thing is, if you end up getting an NYC at some point, you can have that same profile on any bass as a custom option, but in the Metro line, there are no custom neck profiles. I THINK the WL is just a slightly narrower nut... I don't think the profile is flatter.

Pics are a little grainy but I had to make do with incandescent lighting.

Hey guys just wondering if the VLE of Markbass heads is the same thing as Sadowsky VTC? I will have a Sadowsky coming soon and pretty much it doesn't have a VTC and It kinda makes me think of adding a VTC onto it.. Thanks guys! :)

It's the same idea, but probably not the same circuit... I find the vtc on my sadowsky a lot more usable than the vle on my lm2, you will definitely want the vtc!
