Here is my NYC5 which i bought last week, love it.
What a powerfull sound.
I hace an endorsement with a strings brand that doesn't have taperwound B-strings, that is a pity, the character of the B could be better.(IMHO)

I've uploaded some practicing on Youtube.

Great tone, great playing!!!........... and great bass!

I tried the bass with 2 gigs this week, wow, it cuts through in a nice way, even more than my 4string NYC.

Apogee and logic is a good combi, not to expensive and logic alone is packed with features, and with apple these days, in the box works great.
Who needs expensive protools setups anymore?(but that is probably a different forum).

It's a standard NYC4, maple, swamp-ash.

I 've had 8 of them, very happy with the current 2

Wow. Were they all ash/maple? Or is that just the config you settled with. Do you have single coils in your current NYC 4 string? I have single coils in my NYC 4 and they are amazing! They definitely cut through with authority.

I had 2 vintage sado's, 1 with rosewood fretboard and alder, sherwood green serial 3654 and a vintage 5 serial 3508 i believe.
Both were great but didn't have that specific sadowsky character.

The rest, indeed.
Sold them in a stupid impulse.
