Or just ORDER a Sadowsky, and get EXACTLY what YOU want.Or I could buy a Valenti or another Roscoe
Or wait for another Sadowsky to pop up...luckily TB is kinda like a bass bus terminal.![]()

Really? NICE!! Got any pictures? I had one and LOVED it, but in a recent Sadowsky bass shuffle I did, I replaced it with pretty much the same thing in an NYC. Chasarms now owns my MV5-24, and I believe it's still killin' for him too. You should be VERY happy with it!!
Which pickups did you get in it? Single Coil or Hum Canceling?
Here's the one I sold to Chasarms:

OH MY GOD!!!!!! I FINALLY GOT IT!
In more ways than one...I definitely get the hype at least in terms of feel; playing is effortless with this thing, and my god this thing is gorgeous!!! (I'm far from home so I'm gonna find a guitar center to try it out with an amp tomorrow). Not to mention I almost threw this thing into the roof when I first lifted it out the case, it's so light!! screw the 7 day period, this is, most definitely, based on feel and construction so far, the best bass I've ever played, a definite keeper. Will give more details and pics after I've gotten back home.
You know, I revisited the HC's recently, and while I still generally prefer the SC sound, it's NOT AT ALL like I didn't like the HC's... not at all. They sounded great to me, and I predict you're not gonna' be all that compelled to change. After closely following this thread for the last few yearscool
I was considering ordering singles. There seems to be a great deal of praise for the single coils but I decided to try the HCs and if I need more mids I might chuck em in further down the track.
The bass is Ash/maple, lake placid blue. It arrives on monday so i'll post some pics and my thoughts soon after that.![]()
Of course it is entirely personal taste and subjective. The HC's don't sound bad, it's just that the SC's sound better. IMO and IME, of course...
