Thanks , I think it is going to be a real nice bass , i have been playing my 74 Fender most of the time lately and love it , although this bass will be somewhat the same it will have the nice modern qualities , the old bass has a minor couple of deadish spots , not major and the neck has moved on be in a couple different geographical locations , and i don't really like to gig with it all the time , local gigs are fine , i like it to stay close to home with my 66 jazz , I think im really going to be happy with this bass , you know when you see one and just have that feeling , I have looked for a long time and this one just spoke to me , should be fun

Really? NICE!! Got any pictures? I had one and LOVED it, but in a recent Sadowsky bass shuffle I did, I replaced it with pretty much the same thing in an NYC. Chasarms now owns my MV5-24, and I believe it's still killin' for him too. You should be VERY happy with it!!

Which pickups did you get in it? Single Coil or Hum Canceling?

I love mine. I am doing a recording project right now, and all those folks are loving it too!!

I love the general hang/feel/neck/playability of all the 24-fret Sadowskys. I also have an NYC 24-5. I never use those extra frets, but the overall layout is just perfect.

While the NYC is probably my true favorite, the MV5-24 has probably solidified a spot as the #1, go-to bass. It just has that ability to plug in anywhere, into anything and sound good. You just never fight it. There's not a lot of basses like that.

Congrats!

I'm taking some auditions for gigs that will pay pretty well. If it all works out, I'll be adding another Sadowsky Metro to my line up.

The MV5-24's look great to me! I have a M5-24 now, that just fits. The tone is in the same family of what I've been using for a while now, but it gives me a whole new range of colors to use. I'm pretty well sold on ash & maple, at least for live basses.

I came to a similar conclusion a number of years ago. I'm a dyed-in-the-wool J-bass fan but I've been using my NYC PJ5 for almost all of my gigs for a while now. I've never had a bass as flexible -- It can really do it all.
