Club Sadowsky!!!

Lately I've been going the double bag route. Picked up a nice Undercover Double Bass bag. No stiffeners, a couple of big pockets and light weight.

If it's a gig where I need two basses, I'm bringing a lot of other stuff anyways so no need to consolidate.

If it's a gig where I need only one bass, the second bass part of the bag becomes one REALLY LARGE pocket. This is kind of making my iGig redundant. While I'm not quite ready to sell it yet, I can't see keeping it forever.

More delicious Koa!

For light weight, I have an MTD bag that I got from Mike Tobias. I believe it's the red one he sells it on his web site. I'm not sure who makes it (maybe Levy's?). It feels crazy light; no stiffeners in it. Very simple pockets but they're large and can hold a lot (I'd say a little bit more than the Portabag).

For when I want to take it all in one bag, my iGig wins out. Pretty close to the weight of the Portabag but holds a lot more. Problem with doing it this way is that it can get very heavy. But, I can move it all in one trip.

I have a pair of iGig bags that I use as well. No issues at all from my perspective.

Cheers!

Here's the link to the MTD bag:

I got mine about ten years ago.

These are great bags. I have an MTD double and a couple of Fodera doubles that are almost identical. They are very light.

I have a few Portabags and use them for almost all my gigs now. The pockets aren't huge but they hold enough for me. I'm sure there are guys out there who would attempt to jam a micro head in there. You probably could if you really wanted... I don't though.

You definitely won't regret it Bluesy, by far the most solid gigbag i've ever owned! What are you using right now for your Sad?

I am using an Undercover gigbag - I bought it from BassCentral many years ago when I bought my Modulus Q5. Looks like they still sell the same ones at BC - mine is navy blue.
I also have a Body Glove bag but I don't really care for it at all. Need to unload it.

I just had t'see what the tort looked like. The burst is off colour in this pic (it's more honey coloured & darker) but I'll try again w/some window daylight added sometime. It looks VERY attractive in life but I still prefer the mint. Classic vintage tort/burst P is cool but gives the bass a "subdued" appearance. The mint "wakes it up" & adds a vibrancy which in turn makes me feel the same. I'll leave the tort on her for awhile & see if it grows on me. I'm still groovin' on the bare maple. MAN!!! :bassist:

Blair, your PJ wouldn't look anything less than stunning even with a toilet seat mother of pearl pickguard.

Post some more pics with the tort please. :hyper:
