Club Sadowsky!!!

How 'bout a heavy metal chrome pg w/ a big red "lips" kiss smooched on it. :D
This is the only other pic I have right now (a little more over the top). Will work on it.

Very nice !

I just had t'see what the tort looked like. The burst is off colour in this pic (it's more honey coloured & darker) but I'll try again w/some window daylight added sometime. It looks VERY attractive in life but I still prefer the mint. Classic vintage tort/burst P is cool but gives the bass a "subdued" appearance. The mint "wakes it up" & adds a vibrancy which in turn makes me feel the same. I'll leave the tort on her for awhile & see if it grows on me. I'm still groovin' on the bare maple. MAN!!! :bassist:

I'm sorry, just could not resist the smilie. :D

Here's the link to the MTD bag:

[Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

I got mine about ten years ago.

The MTD bag looks like an Undercover bag. The Undercover bags are great but always seem to change the setting on the treble pot. I can't count how many times I've pulled my Sadowsky out to play and can't figure out why it sounds so trebley. But it is my favorite of the standard-type gig bags.

For a double bag I have the old Incase Dub Bag or the old leather Low End double. Both just killer double bags.

Blair, how did your neck come out? I know that was a big project for ya.

DON'T get me started!!! :D You lookin' for the long or short of it? LOL. Joey, the whole exercise was a BIG smile. It was like getting lost in "the groove". Absolutely satisfying. Y'all gotta try a neck w/no finish on it. Slippery.
I just damp wipe it if it gets anything on it like any other neck. It will get some darkening over time but that's bare maple for ya. I always keep my hands clean anyway & my flats are kept like silk. No prob. Keep in mind that I only have one Sadowsky bass & this is HUGE for me. My P is home for me & now it's dressed for the dance. Someday someone else called "P. Bass" is gonna get REAL lucky with this puppy. ;)
Thanks for asking Joey & all the best to ya bro.

You won't regret it!

Tips for sedan drivers . . .

I have a Sadowsky rectangular soft case which is fine although the end straps tend to catch in the zipper unless I zip very slowly. The case can be put in a sedan a lot easier than a hard case which might damage the upholstery.

The Portabag is in a different league. It's very well made indeed - reeks quality! Sad neo strap and 20' cable easily go in the big pouch while the smaller pouch is fine for cloth, tools etc.

I find the Portabag goes in the front of the car resting against the passenger seat.
The case tends to go in the back seat area along the floor.

Not such considerations if you have a truck or subway of course.

Yea I got a beautiful '72 Jazz, yea I got a gorgeous NYC Sadowsky fretless and a killer Metro.......but it is still my '88 "SWR" that gets my motor running! If I had to get rid of all my basses but one....the "SWR" is definitely the keeper! Ahhh...vintage :smug: Sadowsky's! From last night......

I love the look of that.

On the subject of bags, does the maker of the Portabag make a double bag yet? I have an Incase but it's heavy and the Portabag is hands-down the best case I've ever tried (for my needs). I REALLY want a Portabag dub bag.
I don't think Access has a double Stage 5 (which is really what you're asking). In fact, outside their leather line, it doesn't look like they have any doubles.
