I went last week but was in a bit of a hurry, as always they were very nice!!! Went to buy a D-Tuner and strings for my Metro. Tried the Will Lee #5801:

I dunno....it's most certainly not the 5832 on the Sadowsky site, and, it's not on the first two pages of recently sold NYC basses, that I saw....
It's listed as literally new/unopened, but still, I agree. I haven't actually priced it out, but that does even seem like it might be above the actual new price, which is just never going to happen.

The dude totally screwed up the ad. He simply copied the specs from 5832 which is similar to the bass shown, but not the same... e.g. no face dots, but face dots clearly pictured.
He just needs to redo the ad and get rid of the 5832 info.
Most likely just wasn't thinking when he did it, and it's probably a custom that doesn't have a page on the Sadowsky site, so he was trying to save time... just made a bad choice in doing so is all.
The seller and the bass are legit. The serial number is wrong.
He ordered it for a customer of his in Brazil and the deal fell through.

Quick question here- do any of you guys know (Roger included) as to if Brian Marshall's 5 string has a rosewood or morado fretboard on it? I know it's an "RV5" model (his main amber-quilt w/ tort pickguard, black hardware) but I swear somewhere it had the morado fretboard option so just curious there.
And tonally, how does that compare to maple?

I thought all RV5's were morado. Didn't think you you got into actual rosewood territory until you go NYC.
Does anyone know when Roger is going to have flatwound standard and blue nickel standard strings in stock?
