Settle P. BASS!
:D:D:D:D
I know this is borderline against the law ;) but on the topic, I wanted to return your consideration. I know Fran won't mind. Thanks again for the treat.

No, I don't :p

That's a sweet looking and sounding P, but from what I've heard on your overdubs, the Sad has a more complex and rich tone. By the way, I'm looking forward to new recordings...anything new lately?

I'm all ready to finally do the single CD of "The Very Best Of The Eagles" album.- [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] ( I know it's a long shot but hopefully the Duder would approve. ;) ) I'm just waitin' on a Great River ME-1NV preamp from a friend & then I'll rock &roll. I want to do the Sad' justice this time. I've been playing with some beauty tone/pup/VTC blends for that music. I'm in P-Bass heaven with this Sad' P. Gonna do some Pino one of these days too.

Edit: For anyone interested in DI / Preamp stuff : My Avalon U5 is an exceptional unit for recording and is very "pure & colourless". A great "tone purifier". Now - The Great River unit is one that is a good match for P-Bass. It has a superb front end/gain stage & facilitates a perfect vinage tone palette for P/flats. It definitely has a unique, colourful character compared to the Avalon U5. I'm absolutely giddy at the opportunity to test drive this sucker.

It be great if you could just record a few lines with both pres, not a whole song, just enough to hear the differences between those two.

Another check mark on the bucket list...daughter and I had a great visit with Kevin D. last Thurs.
So where's the pic of the new bass? You know you can't go to the mother-ship and walk away without buying something. You did know that, right? ;) :D

Nice pic regardless. :)

No purchases this trip, dammit. My daughter, however, lives less than 1 hr away from LIC and lives fairly close to Kevin, sooooooo...hope to be rackin' up some freq flyer miles to NYC in the future. Gotta get another 24-5. Worst move EVER, selling that bass last summer.
