Here is a dumb question i have about changing strings, I just changed my strings on my SADOWSKY and this is like the 3rd time i change them. What i do is i take out for instance the 5th string clean that area and immediately replace it with the new string. I do this to each string, so here is my question, is it ok to do it this way? or can i just take off ALL the strings at the same time and then clean and re-insert with new strings? I am afraid if i take off all the strings at once it may not be good for the truss rod, again its probably a dumb question but i would like to know the answer...Thanks in advance.

I take them all off so I can clean and/or condition the board. Your ways fine too

Might be a good idea to not re-adjust the truss while the neck has a chance to settle after removing all strings & re-stringing. Once the strings are back on, the neck will self adjust to the way it was.(give it time overnight). Lots of players remove all strings at once so the board can be cleaned well & the frets polished. When I put on the new Sadowsky flats, I cleaned the rosewood with "Hydrate" that I ordered with the build.

Good to know as next month i pick up my newest one and it will be my first ROSEWOOD. I will just continue to change the strings the way i have been doing, to be honest since getting my first one last December i have yet to adjust the truss rod, that alone tells you the greatness of a SADOWSKY.

Very cool. On an aesthetic level, it might look a little crowded, but honestly, ease of use trumps all.

With the older style bar retainer, the B string was pushed down as well. Same on my Lakland (Which has the same style of string retainer as the older Sadowsky one). Does the B not need to be pressed down against the headstock? I just noticed that the B string on my Fender is retainer-free as well...
