I don't know since when one was able to order a NYC 5-string with 18mm string spacing, but IIRC, it is possible to order a 18 or 19mm bridge for 5-strings, but only if it's a NYC. Maybe Metro bridges are different, I don't know.
You can contact the shop, but I seem to remember that Kevin once told me in an e-mail that it was possible to order a bridge for a NYC bass.

So, a bridge swap is all that's needed? I kinda figured a new nut would be required as well.

But unless you specify, it'll default to 19mm, I take it?

I guess not. I can see where you're coming from, but the nut width and string spacing at the nut wouldn't change. The strings would run wider, pulling them a bit further from each other, but maybe it's too small of a difference. Only guessing here. I don't know if a nut on basses 18mm and 19mm string spacing are filed differently.

I think that's correct. While there have been stock 4- and 5- strings with both 1.75" and 1.875" nut widths (for 5s) and 9" and 12" radiuses (for 4s), the string spacing has always been 20mm on stock 4s and 19mm on stock 5s IIRC. Even on the WL4 and WL5.

I also wonder, but I don't know either. On a few websites of European manufacturers or music stores, specs are all in mm (nut width, string spacing, radius, scale). I've seen some US websites with everything in inches as well, including string spacing.

I finally figured out why I couldn't hear any music on you WL video. I got a Mac for Christmas and in the process of changing over I hadn't plugged in my speakers. D'oh!:hmm:

Really, really great playing my friend! Just beautiful. And of course a spectacular bass. Nice job with the video.
