Hi BluesyCat,
I am wondering what 2 items you are using as practice devices (hooked to your computer and headphones. Items circled in red in attached pic)?

Thanks...

PreSonus Firestudio Mobile mainly. The other 2 items are an ipod Touch(underneath the recorder in the pic you attached) and a Sony PCM-M10 recorder. I listen to the guitar / vocal track thru the ipod/earbud combination. THe headphones come out form the Mobile unit so I can hear my bass and record in time with the guitar track.

The recorder is there because I took it to a training session a few days early - so that instruction is on the recorder. I just didn't bother to copy it onto the ipod. The recorder is only for taking and recording lessons with my instructor.

So the birthday is coming up and I'm putting a Sadowsky Neo Strap on the list. Curious... What size did you guys get cause I'm thinking the small would be good for me.

I got myself a medium one. It's a great strap if you don't like straps that take your clothes with them. That said, I also have leather straps from before I got to know Sadowsky's straps and I like them too.

The medium is just right for me. I don't wear my basses at my knees, nor do I wear them at my chest. I didn't know what size to buy either, so I just went 'middle ground' here.

If you have a strap that you like the length of, measure length from strap hole to strap hole. Find one of the Sadowskys with that length somewhere in the middle of its adjustment range.
To answer your question specifically, I ordered the short one. I am 5'7" and wear my bass just above my waist. They are great straps BTW!

Happy Birthday Bluesycat!!!

Just curious, what's vertically challenged?

I'm really curious about your at home practice rig and will probably pm you soon to learn more...

All the best :-)

Birthday is about 30+ days away...thx for early wishes. Ahhhh, vertically challenged = I'm short. :( ( not that there is anything wrong with that!)
PM away....

I measured my leather suede strap and from point to point it is 38". The small will be perfect because 38" is a tad too long and I cannot shorten it anymore! On the bday list it goes!

Interesting. I just had a Presonus Firebox die on me, and I've been pondering its replacement. I might just buy another Firebox, but ive been looking at that mobile box as well... Plus some M-Audio stuff and so on. Any issues with yours?

NONE!!! I love it. :hyper: you know they dropped the price by $50 recently.
