Club Sadowsky!!!

The bell curves for the bass and treble boost on my preamp are very wide.....on the treble, 4K is the center point of the bell curve....it is boosting equally on both sides of center.

I love the way you can boost treble and use the VTC to roll off highs. They compliment each other very well.

Roger

I'm playing my MV5 as I write this. As a test, VTC fully attenuated, Treble boost all the way up : sounds like a bell curve centered somewhere around the 500-800 region. Whaddya mean Sadowskys don't have a mid control ????? :D

Just dropping in to say that the Sadowsky SoapBar is one of my all time favorite pickups.

Sometimes, it only takes one to get the job done. :)

Sadowsky soapbar in the sweetspot. That probably isn't going to suck at all.

I had many Modulus Sweet Spot 5ers back in the day with one DC45 pup and it didn't suck.
I can only imagine a Sadowsky with a soap in the Sweet Spot along with the pre...totally doesn't suck!

I had a ........... (what the hell was it.....) a Pedulla Rapture RB5, Bart soap bar in sweet spot, probably a P2 size. Super punchy and beefy, better than a P bass in a few ways.

Wonder if Roger (with no "D") ever made a fiver like that was not based on a 51P vibe, but more like a modified J bass? I be s'posing he could do a special order. Just curious.

My vision is starting to come to life :)
Started a Solid body (non-chambered) Alder/Rosewood JJ build a little while back. The biggest concern I had was getting a light weight, resonant piece of solid Alder. I requested final build weight to be approx 8.75 lbs.

Kevin just sent me an email with this little gem attached:

Add 5lbs for the rest of the instrument for an approx final weight – we arrive at 8.6 lbs !!! :) I asked, and they delivered! Even lighter then requested, while still keeping it an unchambered solid body! :hyper:
