Includes control plate and knobs. There is also enough wire length between pots to accommodate 4 in line rear mount as well as diamond patterns too.
Installation requires moving the jack to the side and installing a 9V battery holder.

My favorite Fenders were old pre-CBSes where the nitro became golden brown, or even outright brown. The Sadowsky vintage tint is way cool, but the roasted necks (even without birdseye) are even cooler IMHO. My next Sad-wow-sky will most definitely have a roasted maple neck!

I predict these are gonna sell like hotcakes! To be able to take virtually any Jazz bass and drop in these electronics, bumping up the performance as much as these will, is an incredible opportunity for a lot of us with collections of plain vanilla Jazzes in the closet!

Well... not really... at least I'm not sure I'd say "virtually any"... a bit too strong for me...
Moving the jack to the side and creating a battery area are both very invasive, requiring routing, drilling, and hardware installation. This preamp's target market is pretty specifically only J basses that shipped new with a preamp/endjack already in them.
That said, I can think of one I'd like to try one of these on.

Nice onboard preamp/addition to your online store. Any reason the circuit board does not have the black coating (shielding) like a Sadowsky Bass ships with or is it not needed if the cavity itself is shielded?
Doesn't need it if the cavity is shielded. The plate "completes the can" if the cavity is properly shielded with either conductive paint or (my fave) copper tape.
Where the green and black wires are solder to.... is that a "grounding station"?all this talk about electronics got me curious so i decided to open up my MV4 today and take a peak of her insides.... very nice!!!!
Actually called a ground "lug". Sadowsky employs the classic (and most technically correct) grounding method of a "star ground", where all grounds go to a central point (the lug).
