Awesome!!!. Of course, I needed this a week ago.............Sure beats paying Joe Glaser $80 an hour to install one of the older ones.

I'll be ordering one as soon as they come in. Make lots....they should sell great.

I just recorded some tracks at home with my recently Sadowsky preamp equipped Lull. Listening to the tracks I'd recorded with the same bass when it had the Aguilar preamp - there's simply no comparison. Wow. The tone is just incredible now! :)

Thats great. Mind if I ask what is different between the two, and what kind of pickups does your Lull have?

My Lull is an M5V with the Seymour Duncan single coil Basslines (custom wound for Lull). With the Aguilar the bass sounded like it had a hole in the mids, with a lot of sparkly highs and washy, not-at-all punchy lows. It worked okay on record but got really muddy on stage (to the point where I simply wouldn't use it live). The Sadowsky pre is like a sumptuous piece of aural chocolate (or think old-fashioned thick and velvety hot chocolate as opposed to the thin, watery variety you get out of a packet). It's rich and full sounding - right across the spectrum. The highs are there but they are beefier and not shrill in the least. The low end is big but it is "contained" and punchy. Great attack. And the sound is just so smooth and pleasing to the ear. It's not grainy but it has balls. Sits perfectly in the mix, too. Installing that pre was the best thing I could have done for that bass!

I remember long before I owned my first Sadowsky watching Chris Chaney with Morrisette on a live TV show here in Spain. He switched between a Lakland and a Sadowsky and it was like night and day...the Sadowsky tone was much fuller, warmer and present through the small TV speakers.

I had the same bass except it had a Bart Pre-amp. Nothing against Mikes choice of pickups, but I think switching those out to either Sadowsky singles or Nordstrand would give you even more definition than what you are currently enjoying. Congrats.

Maybe, but I'm really happy with the sound as it is right now. And besides, I have a Sadowsky J on order so I'll have all the angles covered with that. ;)
