My new Metro WL... ;-)

Nice bass!

Cute! My 2 year old girl would either do the same thing.....or mostly stare at me intently and say "daddy put it (the bass) down!" Kids are a trip! :bassist:

Two, eh? I'm terrified of what this stubborn little one is going to be like when she hits two this summer.

She can't seem to stay away from my instrument rack, but she goes for the acoustic guitar the most because she can hear it more when she picks at the strings.

:hyper:
Got a break today......looks like the Will Lee is sticking around!!!!'

Holy crap, that's fantastic news! I'll bet you're heaving a sigh or two of relief, eh?

Play it in good health. I'm all kinds of happy for you, mostly because it would kill me to have to sell my Standard 5. Or strangely, even my straight-up, non-unique Fender Am. Std P5. Weird how we get attached to certain instruments but not others. If I had a bunch of $, I'd sell off my Lakland 55-02 in a minute to buy a US version.

Uh, or a flame-topped Sadowsky.

We played a big show with another well known band in our area last night. We shared the same backline amp and he had a Fender custom shop 5 string J bass and a Fender 5 String american standard deluxe. When I got my Bass out he said he has been seeing that shaped headstock on CMT and other places and couldnt read the name but knew it started with an S. (I played his fenders. They were heavy and not set up near as well as my NYC.) He played my Sadowsky and fell in love. The last song of the night we called the whole band on stage for a collaboration and I handed him my Sadowsky and just grabbed a mic to sing some harmonies. After the show he got a notepad and pen and wrote down the Sadowsky Website address and everything about them that I could tell him. He is a great player with great gear and great job with the funds for whatever he wants to play but had never actually heard of Sadowsky which shocked me. He said he has never picked up a bass, played one song and fell in love with it before until last night. Hopefully I will have another Sadowsky player that lives within 15 minutes of me.

"Pusher"....but in a good way!:p:D

Took 4098 and another J type bass I like quite a bit out last night to the gig. Played the other bass for the first set. 4098 owned the rest of the night. I just couldn't pick the other bass up again. A couple bass players there that night (one was running lights for us) couldn't resist commenting and asking about it. Yeah, it's a keeper. :)

4098 is a good one for sure. I always thought someone calling a bass a keeper is the best compliment that could ever be given. Another great compliment is buying another Bass from the same builder.

the Happy Holidays greeting from Sadowsky website is awesome.

Maybe its been there in past years, but its a new thing for me. Several minutes oogling an amazing bass while listening to John Di Fruscia's arrangement of The First Noel.

Awesomeness plus. Thanks Sadowsky Guitars, you made my day.

Just have to say -- I think I'm done searching for basses. Spent about three days looking at youtube clips and reviews on Lull, Sadowsky, MTD, Lakland, etc. Last week I bought a Sadowsky with NS Single Coils and put some Marcus Miller Fatbeams on it.

I just played it live this morning...............

The rest is history. Fingerstyle, slap, you name it -- this is the sound I've been looking for! I'm a believer. I get it now!
