Hey guys,
this took much longer than expected, mainly because I had to polish up the little video editing skills I had to begin with
well, here it is, I hope my playing doesn't make you cringe too much
also featuring in this video: my coffee mug, the great sadowsky portabag, and fun fact, although it looks like I'm giving rhythm-chris a thumbs up for his good work at the start of the solo, it was actually my girlfriend who came home right then, all I could manage in my deep concentration was giving her a thumbs up
I should have arranged the videos and background pic mirrored, because now it looks like the bass is a lefty, which it isn't but oh well
I got this beautiful instrument at the end of november / beginning of december and ever since then I wanted to do a 2in1 video with a rhythm track using the P-Pickup and a solo track using the J-Pickup
I can't say "I played them all" but I played quite some basses in about the same pricerange and have to say the Sadowsky blows them out of the water in about every respect, playability, sound, and the weight... oh my I never thought I would care much about the weight but it is sooo light, so comfortable to wear
Oh and by the way, I never expected it, but the P/J Pickups blended, they sound absolutely amazing
I hope you found some enjoyment in the video and well, I'll be needing a club number now.

Just wanna share my feeling on the Sadowsky basses, done few track recordings this week, basically in style of Pop, Soul and some RnB stuff, try different basses on these tunes like Fender Jazz, a boutique 6 string, Humbucker equipped bass to get different tonal characters...After all, I just come back to my Sadowsky 5 string, simply dial different PU, slightly different on-board EQ'ing and cut all the tracks.....it is just feel like home.

One suggestion...
If you're going to go that far with the double-stop, I definitely recommend you do what your buddy did and go to .110 on the E. It will feel a little tight as an E compared to your current .100, but I bet you'll get used to it pretty quick.
The sacrifice is past the 12th fret you'll get more overtones on the .110 vs the .100 especially in the E tuning, but it won't be bad at all, and as a D and especially B, you'll get more fundamental, which I think you'd really dig. I also know people who just normally use .110's as E's (no detuner involved at all) and it sounds fine.
Anyway, IMHO/IME.
Anyone noticed the stock update? Take a close look at 6244. Seems like the 24F fretboards have rounded edges, or at least can be ordered with rounded edges now...
The pearl black blocks don't look too shabby either (6257).

I just got my very first Sadowsky Bass, and it's an MV5. I just sold my Fender Marcus Miller V for getting this gorgeous bass and i think i just made a great choice. It sound Amazing and i really like it better than my old MMV. Just wanna share and nice to meet you all

Thats a good looking piece of ash, congrats! If you ever feel like changing up the color of the pickguard, pearliod looks great on natural ash.

Good eye! It's a great touch for the Vintage 24F. But I don't mind the squared board on non-vintage models.
P.S. I have a squared board on my first ultra-vintage P5 (my second has only 20 frets so it's rounded). If I'd had a choice then I'd probably have gone with rounded, but it's not a significant detail IMO.
In the spirit of complete transparency, we had to round off the end of that fingerboard due to a defect in the fingerboard extension.
