Not sure about that....but, it sure was a lot of fun to create. It came about by playing the drop D riff on my new bass and I thought I can make something out of this.

Anyway, I love these pics that my wife snapped with the cell phone camera at the last minute. You see the look on my face as I look over at our guitarist in the second one. He'd just given us "the nod" before he left.

This is an incredible story - kind of like if the pope blessed you when you were singing a hymn.

I was in New Orleans last August - what a great place to play music. Wish I had had the opportunity to play when I was there, alas, I was just a consumer that trip. We often hear second line stuff at some of the blues jams here in Chicago. I could have exported some Chicago blues back to NOLA...

What a great memory to have - thanks for posting it!

I believe the Bora Blue is a burst color (dark to light blue) trans blue is a transparent blue color mostly even color throughout. Both are very nice. Lots of examples in the previously sold section of the stock page.

This work of art is heading my way. I'll be selling another Sadowsky in the quiver shortly to defray the expense.

I actually went to Kevin a few weeks ago and spec'd out a bass just like this. When this came into the shop for sale, the decision was easy.

I have a lot of basses, but my Sadowsky's are my favorites. I don't have to struggle to get a sound with them in live situations, and it's serendipitous that Roger's neck profile choices fit my left hand like the proverbial glove. I found the optional 18mm bridge more to my liking than the standard 19mm, but other than that these basses come out of the factory "race ready", to borrow KTM Motorcycles' advertising slogan.

yea i check out all those in recently sold ,, but it was hard to tell if the bora goes from light to blue, it looks like it was just lighter than trans blu, never seen one live i have narrowed it down to either of those or tiger eye

Well this showed up at my door today! :hyper: Barely time to let it warm up and check it out, but so far so good! Picked it up on ebay last week, a tad overpriced but it's a little lighter than normal and that was worth it to me, also has very little wear and the grain is quite lovely. This weekend's gigs require the MV5 so I don't even get to use it yet but very soon it's gonna get some miles put on it.

i was going to grab that one myself , i think 8.5 lbs right? if it had rosewood,it would have showed up at my door

Nice! You can never go wrong with natural. That does have some nice grain.

Cant wait to hear feedback after a few shows. Is there a certain band you bought it for or are you gonna use it @ all your shows?
