Club Sadowsky!!!

Just received these new pictures from Kevin of my bass just a couple days after getting pictures of the unassembled body. It came together much quicker than I expected. I know that the look's not for everyone, but they nailed what I was going for.

My only question is whether I should get a tortoise guard made in addition while they still have the bass.

but in some sort of Cosmic Calendar Confabulation, I ended up with 6 gigs this weekend.

AND 1 of my view at a sidewalk restaurant in Little Italy (slight telephoto img) We had a great evening there. My fav food in the whole wide world of sports!!! We had chicken parmesan w/linguini & some al dente penne marinara.

Wow! Love that natural/maple JJ. I just downloaded the Sadowsky order form to start ordering one just like it!

What are the specs on yours?

Nice. Have you compared them to NYC builds?

I have; it's a great bass.
I think even Mr Sadowsky will tell you that unless you have a specific target weight, or, woods you want that are outside the Metro line, build quality is the same.

+1 Don't do Tort. IMHO.
I did some pickguard tests on a Strat a long time ago - here's the results. I actually went with black.

I love it!! Congrats on a beautiful Sadowsky .I love the pearloid guard , but I would get a tortoise guard just for kicks.

Awesome!!!! White pearloid looks great, but, Definitely do a tort!!! It'll look hot!!!!

EDIT: Just read the other responses and I guess different strokes for different folks. Looking at Bluesy link I still think it'll look pretty hot!!! but the blue and black.... Looks pretty good too!!!!

Blacks a great idea. I went with a black guard on my only other custom build: an 8 string EGC...but I think I gotta get a tortoise guard for the Sadowsky too (as I did for the EGC). Just love tortoise.

Congrats on the bass and don't bother with nother pickguard. That one matches the blocks nicely.
