Hounddog...Got a close relative of 3174. #3044, same everything except no VTC on mine. Got it new in Apr/May of '99. It's still the alpha dog of the pack. The SC's have an amazing deep rich tone with all the bite you would ever want w/ that type of pick up. Here's a couple shots of the change to a tortise shell PG. Enjoy that BEAST !!!

Here's a shot from a wedding gig we played last weekend. We rented two sound systems; there was an outdoor ceremony and an indoor reception and our contract covered both. For the outdoor part, our backdrop was two Norway spruces and a white pine. The smell was amazing.

I like the tort. I might have to get one for mine. This Bass sounds amazing. Cant wait to play it with the band.

Hey it looks great either way. These Basses are 14 yrs old and still being played everyday without any problems. That says a lot about great craftsmanship.

Sunburst and Oly White almost require tort IMO. Haha.

Quick question - does anyone know the size Allen wrench used on the Sadowsky UV-70 bridge? (not sure if Metros and NYCs have different sizes.) I have a set but whatever the size is it's in between my two smallest wrenches...

Yessir it is. I was loving me some Ash/Maple and SC pups today. It turns out NYC #3174 that I just bought is smokin. Its a goodone for sure.

If its a NYC the size is a 1/16th. The Metro is the metric size of 1.5mm. You can buy both wrenches on the Sadowsky store.

Any of you Sadowsky P players traded up from a vintage Fender and never looked back?

I'm toying with the idea of selling my 1973 P (refin) and buying a metro PJ instead. I play my NYC UV4 most of the time and the Fender P doesn't get used that much although I love the sound of a good P. I do love the Fender, it's my only passive instrument and it's nice and light (8.6lbs) and I love the vintage vibe. The metro would probably be heavier and more modern in looks as well. Ideally I would replace it with a vintiquity but that's not in the budget for the moment.. Ok I know I have a problem

Please share your story/opinion on this.
