Club Sadowsky!!!

NOT IF YOU WANNA' KEEP YOUR JOB AS GUITAR TECH YOU DON'T! ;) :D

(check the vid link I posted if you haven't already... just for about 10 seconds or so... my link cues it up to the exact spot... it's kinda' funny... and after having met Mike, I can see him feeling that way). :)

The guitar player that I play with uses PRS guitars and he just sticks them in a case after the show. I have never once seen him polish his guitars.

I love it man. Where were your preamp and amp settings?

Hmm, gotta think.....GK MB500 thru a pair of Aguilar SL112 cabs on the gig.
Everything set at noon on the amp except the HiMid dialed back to about 11 o'clock.
Bass:
VTC dialed back about 20%, mid boost on ( stock setting, 500hz, wide Q), no treble boost, maybe 15% bass boost- if that much.
Also have my Demeter Compulator in there. Set so you can barely hear it grabbing hold/compressing.

Line to out front was taken from the line out on the amp to my GT tube DI, but what you're hearing on the video is my rig.

My NYC Black Sparkle 24Frets JJ5 arrived last week! Nothing to say because you all in the club knew it's good.:hyper: The crappy iPhone 5 pics don't do this bass look justice... Best bass to pair with my NYC Vintage 5 Ash / Rosewood.

I just gigged with it on the same day I received it. After some minor action adjustment to my tastes, just feel like home.

Thanks again Roger and the crews making this fine instrument.

Congrats! I really like how the grainy sparkle on the body matches the BEmaple fingerboard.

Very nice. Classy and flashy at the same time. :)

Hey guys,

I'm wondering if anybody else has experienced this, but my Metro RV5 seems to be very susceptible to cell phone interference. It makes those clicking noises that sound like morse code coming through the amp. Would a chrome cover over the neck pup help? I didn't think this would be a bass I'd have to get additional shielding done. It is a Metro, but for some reason I thought the Metros were shielded. (I haven't opened mine up to check... I'm almost afraid to look inside as I know nothing about electronics)

IME, this comes from having your phone to close to something, generally the amp.
Move it further away.

Well, I've never had this kind of interference ever before until I got this Sadowsky and GK1001RB-ii setup. I put my phone on "airplane mode" and it was still doing that. I can't very well ask everyone in the band to turn their phones off to accomodate my bass/amp. This has never happened to me before with any other basses. You're thinking it's the amp and not the bass? That could also make sense, although the noise stops when I pull the VTC pot and put the bass in passive mode. So this leads me to believe it's the bass...

where was your phone in terms of proximity to the bass, and amp?
real close I bet.

it can be that speakers pick that up directly too. this happens at my edit station at work frequently, freaking clients out.
