Club Sadowsky!!!

I emailed Sadowsky about this but haven't heard back so I'll ask here. I went on the site expecting to order some Blue labels but, as I was at the check out, I realized it would cost almost $60 to buy them and have them shipped to Montreal. Are shipping costs really that high right now? Has anyone from Canada ordered strings from the U.S. lately? I'd like to try out the Blue Labels but no way can I pay $60 for a set of strings. :(

Shipping across the border is disgusting these days. I've been revamping my carving and bushcraft stuff and the shipping has killed more purchases for me than anything else.

I like the Sadowsky strings as well, but not enough to spend that much on them.

Either there was a glitch in my ordering process with Sadowsky or something's just weird. I spoke with Jason (from Bass Strings Online) and the shipping prices were significantly less. I emailed Sadowsky and the only response I got was the automated "your email has been received" one. Funny, I used to get replies from Sadowsky right away but my last few emails have gotten "lost". I'd suggest it was something wrong on my end if it weren't for the automated responses... :hmm:

Kevin, gets 1000s of emails daily. Either Kevin or Roger will get back to all emails in the order they are received I'm sure. Be patient or call their shop. :D

Man, that 's rock !

thank you for this link.

Thanks! I also play on several of the other tunes he has posted (all of the ones that show up for me at least).

I really really really like the combo of the M5-24 and TH500. I run the same rig for theater work, except I dial back the drive a bit more. I'm in tech for a production of The Color Purple, and I just added a SansAmp Bass Driver Deluxe Programmable to handle switching duties.

Emails concerning store orders go to Dan Vitucci at [email protected]. If Kevin or I get them, we just forward them to Dan. Usually, there are 2 or three shipping options on check out. It defaults to the most expensive. Please check again to see if it offers you a less expensive option.

Roger

On the order page it actually defaults to the cheaper of the two options ($27.65 vs 30.75). The question in my email was whether there was any mistake in the shipping cost but I guess there isn't. Yikes. :help:

Amazing top! This is the kind of spalted maple that I love...and with the mandatory accent line.

When I get old and rich I'm going to get a Sadowsky with an spalted maple top just like this and maple board and another one with a koa top and a rosewood fingerboard,...oh! and another fretless and a vintiquity P and...:bawl:

WOW!!! That is gorgeous!

How will this body be adorned? Will it have a control plate or a pick guard, or will you leave those off and let the body shine in all of it's magnificence?

Thinking out loud here:
(Since the routes for the pickups and the bridge screw holes & ground have been done, it looks like you are going to have the electronics cavity in the back... but then they would still have to drill for the control knobs, so...)
