Chambering and choices. If you want an exotic top or want to have woods such as ebony or mahogany in a Sadowsky then it's going to have to be an NYC.

So- Considering my Metro has some fairly prominent "hissing" when the treble is engaged more than 25% and that I need to engage the -10dB on my TH500 when I have volume past 10-11:00, I wonder if something is up with the internal settings.

So? Any thoughts on my predicament?

I have to engage the -10db on my Aguilar as well but this really isn't a problem at all(that's what its there for of course). I haven't had any issue with hiss myself. What is your cabinet?

Aguilar DB115/210. No hiss with either my Lull or Lakland actives.

1.75 nut width on standard or modern 5 strings... :-/

I have been waiting exactly for seven months for my 2nd metro line bass, this time an RV5PJ. Today is the DAY, on fedex vehicle for delivery. Door bell ringing in any minutes. I feel excited.

Graphite and chambered bodies aren't the only thing. You can't get different woods or laminated tops on Metros.

I installed one in my 97 Fender Jazz Deluxe. It is the real deal. Sounds like a Sadowsky, looks like a Fender. I use it for the uneducated BL's here in PHX who expect a Fender and nothing else.
