Anybody have experience with aeros in a sadowsky? I'm having a set of single coils custom wound for my beautiful sadowsky nyc 5. Should be interesting.
I'm curious. Are those the "single coils", and are they also branded "Sadowsky" on the pickup cover the way the hum-cancelling models are?
Yes. The HCs are made by dimarzio. The older ones were a lot like ultra jazz, the new ones are like area J. Older sadowsky singles were made by duncan. Always to roger's specs and with a branded cover.
Speaking of pickups, I've been mulling over having the HCs in my Metro RV5 changed to single coils, if that'd give me more of the classic J bell tone. I'd be interested in comments...

Do you provide the public service of letting interested parties visit to hear the variations? I'm sure you wouldn't (shouldn't!) just give out your address, but ... man ... maybe Sadowsky could subsidize you as a west coast showroom?

Hey, I'm very happy with it as is. It's relegated all my other basses to the closet. Just was wondering...
I think that would have the newer pickups, in which case the change would be smaller. I picked up an american standard J for when i want a true J sound. Sadowskys look a lot like a J bass but have their own sound.
