Club Sadowsky!!!

I was so pressed to buy a NYC will Lee until I received me new metro will Lee! At 8.2lbs it feels great on the shoulder, and sounds great! I'm going to send it out to pat Wilkins next week to get it refinished in candy tangerine and to put a vintage tint to the neck! Can't wait for the end result. I may keep my other metro will Lee as a backup and maybe out hc pickups for a different flavor. At 8.8lbs it's not too bad at all too!
My Will Lee weighs in at 9.2; surprised yours is a pound lighter. Wonder what drives that difference?

I just received #7053 this week (ash maple nyc 5 string) this week, is there a story about the included subway token?

Roger posted on Facebook:
"As a "token" of my love for New York City, I will now be including the following with every Sadowsky NYC instrument! This is an original NYC Subway Token that was used during the years 1970-1980."

Here is a pic of my new bass.

Makes sense. My mom gave my NYC token cuff links for graduation!

I made a plea to Dan and Lisa to make the skyline neck available aftermarket, but with "my skyline" as a kid. I.e. The twin towers and Statue of Liberty up to the Empire State or Chrsyler/Manny Hanny building. The skyline of Guidry, Munson, Chambliss, Randolph, Nettles, Dent, Pinella, Rivers and White. Johnny D, Duguay, Greschner, etc. (and Potvin still sucks).

I got a "we'll see ".

Greetings, Club Sadowsky. Been a long time lurker. Took the plunge and put in spec for a NYC in March, she's home. I apologize for the picture, it does not even begin to do this bass justice...and you can't see the headstock(!), but Roger will vouch for her, I spoke to him today to thank him and the crew for NAILING my spec. May I please have a number? Or will that take more pics? LOL

Wow, what color is that? And roasted neck, or a trick of the light? Gorgeous!
Official spec:
Transparent Aqua Blue (shop named it that color, I just sent a pic of the Caribbean Sea and said "make it look like that" ) :D
Master Grade Quilt Maple top
Roasted Master Grade Birdseye Maple Neck
Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard, no face dots
Alder body, non-chambered
Gold hardware

Pups are standard Sadowsky Humcancelling. I love the way they sound and didn't want to mess with that.

I cannot for the life of me get pictures that capture this beauty.
