Don't know, but Kevin was such an amazing guy to deal with. He helped me so much and as a result, I have had the same Sadowsky for nearly 10 years. It is just perfect for me. That said, might I quote him thusly? "What could be better than a Sadowsky bass? A second Sadowsky bass!"
That blue looks amazing! Never been a fan of quilt but it really does look like the Caribbean Sea!

I apologize for the picture, it does not even begin to do this bass justice...and you can't see the headstock(!), but Roger will vouch for her, I spoke to him today to thank him and the crew for NAILING my spec.May I please have a number? No problems in the tone department whatsoever, and weight wise, about the same as my 4's. Not regretting the decision at all.
...and thanks to everyone for their kind thoughts. It's a special bass, and will be put to good use. She gets her first workout at rehearsal tomorrow, then makes her grand debut at church on Sunday.

The sound blew me away and I got more interested in these fender clones!! While selling the uv70 to a local tber, we kept in touch and he gave me tons of knowledge about these basses and advised me to try out the different metrolines before I plunge myself to a NYC build.
So I got a will lee model and got hooked....
It's been 2 months and this is what I have so far..
The Roscoe was an impulse buy and I don't regret it! But now I got try out both single and hc pickups and a will Lee model and a mv5.
My conclusion: I love the will lee 1.75" nut but I love the humcancelling pickups over single coils.
I have the black will lee for sale at the moment as I really don't need both.
As great as the bass is I don't think it'll get in the rotation as much.
Only thing that has me curious now is he chambered bodies and the pj layout. Weight wise I'm happy with what I ended up with. The blue will lee weighs in at 8.2lbs and the mv5 weighs in at 8.7lbs
Instead of spending $5k + on a new NYC will lee 5 should I just send the blue one over to Pat Wilkins for a candy orange refinish and vintage tint on the neck and have him swap out the single coils for hc pickups? Or just keep both sadowskys and just order a NYC?
I'm loving my rotation of basses at the moment!!
I'm actually not an Illinois native (shhhh! LOL)...but Midwestern sensibilities cross borders.
The ride is indeed proving awesome so far. This thing is so comfortable to play...Not sure what you mean by basic transparent, but I'm guessing yes? Take a look...
I'll second that love for Bluesy's baby, and I also like Major Metal's green axes! (Told ya I'm a long time lurker. Where do you think I got all my inspiration???

Wow, that Red bass is gorgeous too! I love the transparent finishes, they are my favorites. I've got an MV4 on order, my first Sadowsky, in Trans Blue. I can't wait!
