There they are. Was wondering when you were gonna get here.

Good sweet Lord. See, yours is one of those basses that I would point to when someone goes gaga over mine and say "But the shop did that too!! Mine's cool, but this is just as good if not better!!" I have no words for your top, it is that gorgeous. And clearly she's a player, the "love marks" are a testimony to that!
By the way, hat tip to @Joeykun ...think your Trans Purple bass was my initial inspiration for going with a unique color. Saw yours...noticed the color wasn't on their stock listing..."hey, wait, they'll make it whatever color you want?"And I still like yours a lot...toyed with the idea of getting that finish for a while.
You shut TB down with your beauty!Beautiful bass @FunkSheep08 , blue is my color and that quilt is just jawdropping!
I just realised today that this year would mark 5 awesome years with the best bass I've ever had (and probably ever will)...It's certainly evolved quite a bit over the years and the back and sides of the neck are showing some age but I like it! Adds some character and now it's not so shiny and new so no more coddling from me (well, maybe a little).
Still turning heads and dropping jaws everywhere and the best sound money can buy, so here's to 50 more years with sexy Sadie (Hopefully I'm still playing at that age)!

email Hipshot or call Sadowsky; they can tell you best.Anyone know if 1/2" hipshot tuners would fit on a metro with 3/8" tuners?? If not is it a hard mod?
It was probably Pat Wilkins, who I understand does most of the finishes for NYC Sadowskys and US Laklands. His work is incredible, and by all accounts he's a super-cool guy to deal with. Pat Wilkins Guitars and FinishingExactly what I was going for. I would love to know who in the shop did the finish on her, the color is PERFECT...it makes the figuring on the top just sing.
The 3/8" licensed Ultralights require a 14mm hole. For the 1/2" posts... the licensed ones need a 16mm (5/8") hole while the USA Ultralights are bigger at 21/32" (though 17mm is good).Anyone know if 1/2" hipshot tuners would fit on a metro with 3/8" tuners?? If not is it a hard mod?
Received some progress pics today...Really stoked about ordering my first ever Sadowsky (NYC 5-24)!!! Discussing/finalizing specs with the NY shop staff was quite an enjoyable part of the process, too...
I secured this awesome master grade top to go with the rest of my specs...

Another example of perfect quilt for the color...like a luxurious piece of satin...sweetness. Still might end up with one that color. Thanks, @FunkSheep08! I called the shop at least 3 years before I actually ordered mine to see if they could do Purple. They said yes. But, since there are many shades of Purple I needed to see a sample. I was sent a pic of a Modern 5 they did before in Trans Purple and I was like "YES! That's what I want!" I ordered it 8 months before my 50th birthday and it arrived home just 2 days after my birthday! I am still extremely happy with it! Here was the first pic I got of it after it came back from spray!

The sort of top and body natural finish was made for. Absolutely beautiful.
Gorgeous top! I wish the Sadowsky shop would not refer to okoumé as mahogany though (since it isn't mahogany).
