Question (for roger) Does sadowsky make a Metro Frettless 5 string? I've had my metro 24 fret 5 string for a month now (not even) and I'm already thinking about my next sadowsky bass(es). I haven't seen any online.

My first MV5 had custom lollar js in it and it was Awesome... much more Vintage J sound coupled with the Preamp was Killer.
I received one of the new t-shirts (olive green) for Christmas. Very soft and excellent fit.
I changed the Fender select active electronics for a Sadowsky drop in preamp and Lollar pickups, killer combination. I think I shieldied the cavity with copper tape but I am not 100% sure, anyway, you cant go wrong.
A satin PJ would be nice too
We will be releasing a Satin PJ at NAMM. It will be on a J body with a J neck. It will be the Verdine White Signature Model. For each bass sold, Sadowsky Guitars will donate $100 to the Verdine White Performing Arts Center in LA.

Whoa.... nice. Question for you (and the group really..) How would you compare the Soaps in 60s position to the regular Singles or HC Pickups. Would you say they're meatier? Does it still give you a good slap tone?
I usually don’t go for natural basses but the reviews of yours lead me to get my natural MV5. Since I’ve had it it has become one of my favorites of all time.

That ash/maple/black pickguard has always been a thing for me...
I don’t knot know if this will answer your question but I hope it helps. As always, JMO.
There are a lot of basses out there. Some are great at slap, some bark, some Motown, etc. Sadowsky as a whole will cover all of those sounds and situations without ever having a bad sound. They may not be the best at a singular situation or song but they are very good at ALL situations. The same can be said with Sadowsky pick-ups and locations. HC, SC, 60’s, 70”s, modern all do their thing better at their situation/tone but the soap bars in 60’s location do EVERYTHING very well without a bad sound.
The 24 fret vintage jazz with the soaps in the 60’s location in my picture is the most versatile bass I’ve ever had my hands on.
