I just have to say, as an owner of an NYC and 2 metros (1 recently sold), the NYC just sings! The chambering enhances the acoustic liveliness, IME. Unamplified, my NYC was much louder and more sonically satisfying, perhaps tonally richer. Amplified, well, same deal, but louder! And the lighter weight? Heck, I'm an NYC guy from here on out, that's for sure.

Pickups can be very personal. I currently have the Duncan Singles in my bass; but, I have a set of Delano JMVC5 l/l's on the way. The original Nordy's are in the case. I like all 3 for different reasons, but may gravitate to the Delano's.
Not too many reports on that Super J pickup yet, though no doubt it will be terrific. Looking forward when you, @Ewo and some of the others start gigging yours.
The solid bodied NYC I used to have was probably the most resonant Sadowsky I've owned, so I'm not convinced that the chambered basses are any louder or tonally richer than the non-chambered ones. I think it just comes down to the individual bass and whether it has the "magic" you want. I haven't had much luck with any sonic generalizations where wood is concerned. 
Roasted maple neck, you say? Quilt maple top, you say? Might as well throw a Brazilian fretboard on it while we're at it...
Supposed to be good weather this weekend so maybe I'll attempt a decent shot of the neck outside. Have yet to get a photo that does it justice. Shop photo came close.

Please don't encourage Joeykun to be like that ... other Sadowsky owners should be shaking their heads!

I actually don't even need to amplify my MV4, to get that magic...
... I measure the 'magic' by the number of times my wife rolls her eyes at me...
... clearly, I feel like I'm sitting at a Vegas slot, 24/7... there's just that much magic... I love her, so much... the bass is pretty awesome, too.

You guys have some beautiful stuff! I've got my metros so dialed in.. they just feel like an extension of me. I've contemplated an NYC satin build, but I would have to sell at least one of these and I'm not ready to do that, lol.. Just a couple basic RV5's (SC's in the JJ).. they bring it!

Does anybody knows id I can replace the bridge by a Hipshot B style? I'm asking as I'd like to swap all the hardware for a black one.
I know it's easy for the tuning keys, but for the bridge I haven't found any replacement hardware.
