Well, here's the current rig, still want to add a chorus pedal and maybe an Acme Audio DI. But I love the Subway, the LDS 210 is a killer cab and can get scarry loud for an 8 ohm cab. I may have Don build a 112 LW at some point. Most of the time I run the cab horizontal tilted up as a monitor at churches. The Amptweaker is the best kept secret on that board, and the MV5 gets er done!

How about some fancy woodtop love today? My very first custom NYC from 09', thought this is my only one and the rest is history.

I had this bass refinish to Natural from 59' Burst at some point, because I want the woodtop pop..

but there is 'protection clause' in the mortgage agreement, and that is the purple bass has to be a 5 stringer!!!

So, you get to keep your beautiful purple (Prince) bass and I my house.

But I'm still looking to trade for a Sadowsky 5'er!!!

Way cool; 24 frets with the d-Tuner. Very classy instrument.

One thing about Roger is that he very clearly continues to take a lot of pride in his work. Awesome.

Was cleaning up my RS4 before tomorrow's and next week's gigs. First time I cleaned the fretboard as well since I got it. It ain't birdseye maple or some ultra rare brazilian rosewood, but Pau Ferro is beautiful in its own way as well

PauFerro/Morado is IMO one of the best woods for fingerboard. Forget about rare, expensive, exotic... it works better than most others. Be (very) happy.

Yep, it sounds great! Nothing to complain about (but some roasted maple necks I've seen here... hmmm...)

Is it just me, or did anyone else cringe seeing that Sadowsky laying on a rough concrete surface?

I know you probably had it on a rubber mat underneath or something, but ...

Ha - i was thinking the same thing. Like nails on a chalkboard... Beautiful bass though! Classic. Simple. Elegant.

Heh I know right? There was proper "padding" under the bass though (but it would've been ugly if it was visible!)
On the other hand, the last rehearsal I got my first proper ding. You know, drummers... Doesn't matter, this is my only bass and I mean to play it after all

Brazilian rosewood, flamed maple top. This bass...OMG, amazing!! I've mentioned before live sound guys drooling over it, but recently took it into the studio here in Germany and the sound engineer said he was shocked by how good it was and that it was the best studio bass he's ever personally recorded. He almost offered me cash on the spot for it.

Interestingly enough, I may be putting it up for sale soon to fund my newest Sadowsky 5-string build. I'm going back to 5ers, because I'm tired of messing with D-tuned fingering patterns when I need to go down past E. Just personal preference.

Here's another next to my Tecamp/Berg rig, which has since been replaced with the B|Amp and a second HDN210. (However, I do highly recommend the Tecamp and SuperCab/Eich T-900 1210S if you get the chance to play them!!)

Indeed. I have the maple fretboard version of this bass (thus mine is an MS4) with the same 59 burst finish. Love it. Modern and classic at the same time.

I'm going back to 5ers, because I'm tired of messing with D-tuned fingering patterns when I need to go down past E. Just personal preference.

I also bounce back and forth between the drop fingerings and a 5. I have a great time sorting out the drop fingerings; but, also have a somewhat important Modern Country audition coming up, and don't want to mess with the two different approaches for that one. So, the 5 is getting the current call.

I'll say this about the Sadowsky WL5: it's the most Jazz Bass 5 string I've ever played.

Danke! In fact, that's the bass I have coming! A WL5 with the SuperJazz Pickup! Does that mean it will be the mostest jazz bass ever played? Lol!
