I love how the roasted swamp ash looks under a trans finish. It really brings the figure of the grain out.
Thanks! Actually, there's no roasted wood on this build, neither body nor neck.

Chef, I see you're using the Mesa D800+. How do you like it and what thoughts do you have regarding it vs. Genzler Magellan or Genz Benz Streamliner 900. Sorry for the hijack.

I had the mesa D800 for one gig.
Too dark for me; tho it didn't miss by lots.
The streamliner I didn't like at all. Another one gig amp.
The D800+ I like pretty well so far. It'll be around a while.

Interesting. Yes, they can be all of that, like a Gisbon EB3.... But, they have their place sometimes.

Thought Id share my latest brood of Sad NYC gals, I wish I had 10 arms and hands to be able play them all at the same time! (At least that way, my wife would have to stop saying I can only play one at a time...)

I got to play a Sadowsky Singlecut (I think it was one of Chip's Signatures?) with a Super J and really liked it. You definitely get the vibe of 60's or 70's positioning, and I loved how powerful they sounded together. I'm having one put in my current Sadowsky NYC build.
2 things I want to say.
#1 - I 100% appreciate Rogers work, he is a great, ethcial and honest business person. You don't always find that, but in this MI industery it's more likely than not, but he is a rock star in this business, and he should be acknowledged for that. Trustworthy and honest. awesome.
And, #2, as I get older, I really appreciate the lower weight. In my book, it's easy to compensate if you need to, for the various tones you might want, vs the weight you can keep on your shoulder for an evening, or even for a set. Roger, I love you for that, I've told you that in person, and I mean it..

The customer service I received from Roger was the best I've ever experienced from any company or individual, period. That was 15 years ago for a Metro bass. I swore I'd someday own a NYC. I'm happy to say it's now in the que, and March can't come soon enough.
