For normal Sadowsky pan pot wiring (reverse of typical), does the white neck pup wire go on left or right - see clipped off remains in pic below? And does order matter for the black ground wires?

And thanks for pointing out that this section isn't working on the site. Should be easy to fix later tonight (on my way back from vacation). Looks like all the files are around, but the URLs changed when we updated the site. I'll fix tonight.

Serendipitous that the wiring plan has appeared here as I experienced what appears to be some kind of volume pot failure on my 2011 MS4 last night. The vol pot had seemed a tad loose previously, with a not-firm end point on the turning range (max vol) of the pot previously; last night I had nothing from the get-go and the pot seems to continue spinning past what should be its end point after a moment of brief resistance/friction. Didn't have time to look into it then, and couldn't locate my Sadowsky tools at that moment, but plan to in the next day or so. Knob off would be a good start lol. Convenient to have the wiring diagram appear today, and have already learned that the pot is wired the reverse manner from standard. I expect I'll need that diagram for replacement or repair of the pot.

Sorry about that. This should work for now. It's the diagram for the drop in but the pan pot is the same. I emailed you as well: 4knob_preamp_2017.pdf

Give us a call on Monday. If the pot is rotating 360, that's an issue.

Hi all, trying to sort out a few things regarding the differences between the NYC, the new NYC Satin, the even newer NYC Satin Deluxe, and the Metro...so a few questions just in terms of the physical components involved.

NYC: Get whatever you want custom, ok

NYC Satin Deluxe: non-customizeable, chambered body with fancy maple top with a satin finish, USA Hipshot tuners. Hand wired preamp or prewired like the basses below?

NYC Satin: chambered body, Hipshot licensed tuners and prewired preamp

Metro: non chambered body, Hipshot licensed tuners and prewired preamp
Made in Japan, so that begs the question...are the woods for the bodies and necks also sourced from the same supplier(s) as the NYCs?

Also do all NYCs and Metros use the same bridge?

The NYC and Metro bridges are slightly different. But, Lisa showed me both while at the shop last year and the mass of both bridges are almost identical. I really didn't see any major differences between them other than NYC bridges are available in Gold, Black and Chrome while Metros are chrome only.
