Ducking right now....Ya know whats interesting, I have wayy too many bases, and I'm honestly not skilled enouth to play them the way they shuold be played.. I'm an amature, with more $$$ than skill. And, I'm open and up front about that.
I have one set of flats on a bass, and I went through a half dozen to find the right ones.... And honestly, for me, and for the bands I play with, the La Bellas kick butt.... You can spend a whole lot more on the TI's, or others, but nobody I know can honestly hear, or feel the differnce...
Anyway, my .02... Tomatoes will be flying, I have no doubt....
Rob
Hey, La Bellas are nice too. I like the TIs much more though
I REALLY like the Sadowsky Blue Flats...stronger mids, and noticeably less tension than the Blacks (which are nice, also)...I have not tried the new Sadowsky Blue Label flats but the old Blacks are my favorite over everything I have tried. I always recommend them: Great sound, great feeling, long lasting and just the right tensión.

Naw, man. I like what I like. I wouldn't presume to tell you what you should like.
I'm a rounds guy but like to keep flats on one bass -- right now it's my Sadowsky UV P5 with Brazilian board. TIs are my favorite flats, but they are extremely expensive. They also have high flexibility and low tension, which took some getting used to -- but TBH I like that they forced me to learn to play with a lighter touch. Doesn't mean I do it all the time: I'll still dig in for hard rock.
Sadowsky blue label flats are very good too. Expensive, but not like TIs. Lower tension than average, but not as low as TIs. Mine are still settling in, but the more they do, the better I like them.
Those two are my personal favorites. I've tried a bunch of others with mixed results, good and not-so-good -- won't name names because it's very possible I replaced some sets before they were fully broken in.

I think that you think you were much more edgy than you actually were. No one is taking offense to anything you said.Like I said, I apologize, everyone hase their own preferences, actually thats one of the best parts about this forum.... Sorry if you took it in a way that I didn't intend.
