Club Sadowsky!!!

I just googled the Metro Express myself. Ummm.. wow. I wonder if they will be available stateside? Same finish available as the NYC Satin I just ordered.

I'm definitely sticking with my NYC order but these are interesting to say the least.

I just did the $$ conversion... This is a BIG difference in price.

Hmm...

EDIT: according to the translation, the Ikebe page says it's the same quality as the Metro series only more affordable. Same materials it appears too. Having just made my deposit on an NYC Satin in the same color that is available in the express line has me doing the momentary lip bite.

Easy!! That could hurt, you know!

"Don't second guess your mistake", is what I always say. :wacky:

So, a quality equal to Metro but cheaper, in US dollars, means some things must be missing/different.

I really like my MV5 and I suspect I'll love my NYC Satin Series, when it gets here. Anything less than my Mv5 will not fly well with me.

No second guessing. I'm super stoked on my order. I could only assume there is "something" missing with the Express as well, but I've been wrong many times before so....

I was going to get a Metro or the Satin, so to see "metro quality" for that much less has me pondering what could have been, but today we won't call that second guessing, lol. :roflmao:

Same here!! And there still is the look-see-play money back guarantee.

Guess I accumulated a few Sadowsky parts over the years.

Even though this bass is for sale, I still take care of it and do it’s monthly setup, cleaning, adjustments, etc. I love doing my own setups. But, I actually use the same measurements that the shop adhere to. This thing plays like the day I received it 7 years ago!

I like my Satin Deluxe a lot. And I hate JJ basses, and hate ash/maple. So go figure...

fwiw I still would buy a satin over a Metro even if the quality is comparable. Like the lighter weight and going VFR-direct to NYC.
