Wow... @MMiller28 I'm very sorry to hear, as that is certainly not the norm. I have 3 NYC's, and 2 NYC's currently in the build process. Every bass has been absolutely flawless, and their customer service has been consistently top notch!
In fact, on my 5-24PJ...I was obviously anxious to receive it, but Lisa let me know that she wanted to keep it on her bench one day longer, to make sure the fretwork was absolutely perfect (before it went to Roger!) Their attention to detail is very evident with all my basses...

@MMiller28 "wow" I've been on this forum for years and you're the first person that's been totally dissatisfied with a Sadowsky bass. It looks like an awesome bass and I'm sure it's a great player. I'm assuming the blemish problem has been rectified? Maybe it just has a defective volume pot and for whatever reason wasn't caught on Rogers bench? IMHO I wouldn't ditch the bass because of a blemish that was taken care of and possibly a bad volume pot. I would just have that issue taken care of and enjoy the hell out of the bass and I wouldn't look back......Good luck!
Hello Eureka kid, nice bass! Here's a glimpse of your bass in the future. I've done thousands of gigs with this NYC WL since 2010. I am just loving how the fretboard and back of the neck are aging and wearing in. There's just something special about a bass that's totally broken in. Welcome to the forum!

@MMiller28 I will be the first one here to say that I'm not surprised. It doesn't matter who the builder is, the fact is that sometimes things just happen. Humans are the ones putting basses together and, yes, occasionally something will slip through the cracks. I'd say that with a company like Sadowsky this is a fairly rare occurrence but, of course, if you're the one on the receiving end of a slip-up then it probably won't matter to you how often the company gets it right. From my experience the folks at Sadowsky are the kinds of people who will do whatever it takes to make something right but if you don't want to pursue things further with them then that's certainly your prerogative. I hope that ultimately you do find a bass that makes you happy.
If *this* is one of the biggest disappointments of your life you either haven't lived long enough or you're a very lucky guy, without any disrespect of course.

Own 5 NYC, 6th in the making and soon finish hopefully, always got some idea on the 7th....All are custom ordered to my spec and liking, they are perfect in every way from the day 1 I received them, work GREAT from studio to arena sized stadium, this is one of the reasons I keep buying and to be honest, Sadowsky is the only brand of bass that I own more that 2 of them..
Not trying to say it’s not impossible to have one not like Joey said, but we are all human, something wrong can be happened, just like all the guys said, what happened on you is definitely not the norm... I hope everything turn out well to both parties. Cheers.

For those of you who might be concerned......we do not use any woods from poopiehole countries like Haiti or Nigeria. We are currently only using woods from Norway.
