Club Sadowsky!!!

...I read some reviews on metros that some can't get a really low action. And i think that's true based on my own metro...
I disagree with this as a general statement. My preferred height is toward the middle or mid-upper range of Roger's spec; but, in my experience, the Metros can be set RIDICULOUSLY low (even below the low end of the spec) and still play without buzz.

There should be very little difference, if any, with how the Metros can be set up vs NYC. Roger is a stickler for that kind of thing. Probably either a perception issue, or just some sort of problem with a particular bass... definitely not the general case.

Thanks for the replies guys.

Not true if you know how to set up. Carl Pedigo's setup videos on YT are great combined with Roger's measurements for Sadowsky, you will have super low action. If you live in a finicky environment that has big swings in humidity, you may need to adjust more often, but not being able to get low action on a Sadowsky is not a manufacturer issue. I've had 1 Metro and 2 NYC's; the Metro was direct from the shop (Roger gave it the final review) and the NYC's were bought used. I had to tweak the NYC's (one was in CA, one in MS, and I live in NYC), and all achieved shop recommended action.

Well, I thought I've seen it all, but this is just about the most sexy Sadowsky I've ever seen. :D

Wow.. have you been reading my mind? I've been in contact with Pat Wilkins about refinishing my Metro PJ5 in that same finish.

Before I ordered my Satin I ordered a bass and had my deposit returned from another builder who temporarily had to stop taking orders (he's back up now). It was for that exact greenburst finish. I didn't have an NYC PJ5 in my budget so I went with the Satin. Then I learned about Pat..... :)

Beautiful! Thanks for sharing!

Not the same fretboard, definitely not as old as yours, but it looks as though we may have a little in common, sharing bodies...
