Club Sadowsky!!!

this....is just making me weak in the knees.

Oh my. That is beautiful! I’ve been wanting to pull the trigger on a Modern 5 of some kind and was sorely tempted by that one, but unfortuantely I can’t seem to find many (or any) Sadowsky Metro or Satin NYC 5’ers with a 1 3/4” nut width. :crying:

Guess I’ll just *have* to save up for an NYC Standard. :D

I normally take two basses to every show and the Incase Dub Double bass bag has served me well. It's amazing that it's still in great condition considering how many times it has been loaded in and out. It has a small zipper tab that broke but other than that it's rock solid.

Cool, hadn’t heard of the Incase stuff before! Right now I’ve got an older Low End Shoppe double-bass gigbag that’s been great for carrying around Sadowsky and other Fender-styled basses to shows (but unfortuantely doesn’t work with my Mike Lull T5 or Warwick Star Bass II). Back when I lived in Chicago, a double-bass gigbag was great to have: two basses on my back, pedalboard in one hand and amp/preamp in the other hand. Ran all over town on busses and the El with that setup!

Anyone interested in trading your NYC 4 string for my NYC satin modern 5 string? I love the bass but regret buying a 5 string, it's just not for me. Mine is Inca silver with the morado board built in 2018. i'm willing to put money on top if yours is worth more.

I also have an M80 and a Portabag. The latter seems a good bit more stout. You can’t fold it.

Also, being tall, the M80 straps make the bag hang high to where I have to ‘dip’ through doorways. The Portabag has a higher fastening latch point which allows it to hang at a better height, for me...almost level with my head.
And 'dip' around ceiling fans. Been there, done that.

If you were making that offer at the Metro end of the spectrum then I'd be in. I have a Metro 4 that I've been trying to figure out how I can make it sprout an extra string.

I've had my Satin J-Bass for almost 6 months now. This thing is the best bass ever. It's built flawlessly and sounds awesome.

Here's a gig photo that I don't think I've shared before:
