Morning people,
Silly request of the day: i absolutely love my RV4. I play a lot with it and the sound is phenomenal. I get a lot of compliments about my sound. Great instrument.
Now.... I've got this other bass that I would like to upgrade. It's a German made bass with a P (reversed)/MM PU configuration. How can I get this bass to sound Sadowsky-ish ?
I know the short (and best) answer would be to sell that bass and get another Sadowsky. I would love to but i'm emotionnaly attached to that bass. I've been on tour a lot with it. This particular instrument is a part of my musical journey and I just cannot part with it.
Preamp wise, it's quite simple : a Sadowsky 4 knobs preamp will do the job and is fairly easy to find. But what about the PUs? What would you recommend to get this Sadowsky punchy sound?
Thanks a lot
Start with the preamp. You can always change pickups down the road.
