Quick question. Does a regular NYC Sadowsky 21 fret P-J and the NYC Satin Verdine White P-J have the same tone characteristics, assuming the same woods, etc. Are they just cosmetically different? Pickup locations the same, etc?

I agree @600 Ohms , I can't wait to get my DLPB Verdine White when it's finished being built.
I'm sure there will be others here that can answer this now but when I get the Verdine White it'll be relatively similar the NYC PJ that I have. There are specs that will most certainly make it impossible for a 100% true comparison. Both with alder bodies, maple neck, but the NYC has a quilted maple top, rosewood fingerboard and the VW will have morado. My NYC PJ is about 7 years old so I think the pickups are also different but I hope it sounds a bit different, I wouldn't want 2 identically sounding basses.
As the Satin Serie doesn’t offer transparent color, there might be some wood differencies also ? I don’t know, I am just thinking...

I think the NYC Customes have the hand wired electronics (?). Pickups and their positions are the same.
I know that Deluxe offers flame maple top and comes with Portabag (I suppose) but Satin Serie hasen’t those.

Basically, the Deluxe has a flame maple top, a trans or clear finish, and a portabag. It is also only available through our dealers. Other than that, it’s the same as our regular satins.
Curious about the hardware though...don't the Satins use the licensed Hipshot tuners (same as on Metros) while Satin Deluxes use USA Hipshots?
Is there a difference in the bridge as well? The Satins use the bridge found on Metro basses, correct? Do the Satin Deluxes use that same bridge or the bridge used on NYC custom basses?
Just seeking a little clarity for clarity's sake on these minor details.

The only part I don't see an answer to is in the specs for the NYC's they state the bridge is chrome plated brass and I'm guessing that if you get black hardware it's also plated brass. Under the info for satins it just states Sadowsky Bridge. On my 7yr NYC PJ the black on the bridge has been nicked up from string changes and I can clearly see that it's brass.
Yes, I saw that Satin has licensed Hipshot tuners but Deluxe has USA Hipshot tuners maybe there are few differencies more..
